Jean G. Frey, age 94, of NY, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at St. Cabrini Nursing Home in Dobbs Ferry, NY. She was born December 27, 1927 in Tamaqua, PA, the daughter of the late James H. and Emma J. (Snyder) Skelding. Jean graduated in the Class of 1945 from Tamaqua Area High School. She was proud of her time spent working for the Department of the Navy in Washington, D.C.

She enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching her favorite classic T.V. shows, and walking. She is remembered as a kind and caring soul who always worried about whether the cat was fed. She cherished her family and always worried more about others than herself.

She is survived by her two sons, Mark J. (Donna) Steffen of Hartsdale, NY and Johnathan W. (Amy) Frey of Hellertown; four grandchildren, Shane (Kelly) Steffen of Wernersville, Ella, Christopher, and Russell Frey of Hellertown; and one great-grandchild, Olivia Steffen.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased in 2014 by her loving husband of 47 years, Raymond S. Frey; and nine siblings.

Professional Services are entrusted to Weber Funeral Homes, P.C. in Allentown. A Public Viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Weber Funeral Homes, P.C. 1619 Hamilton St. Allentown, PA 18102. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. also at Weber Funeral Homes, P.C. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated in Jean's memory to Asbury United Methodist Church, 1533 Springhouse Rd, Allentown, PA 18104.
