James R. Walsh
James R. Walsh, 89, of Lower Macungie Twp., died Feb. 16, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born in New York, NY; he was a son of the late James and Katherine (Boyle) Walsh. He was the husband of Gloria (Brennan) Walsh with whom he would of celebrated 63 years of marriage with on Feb. 26, 2011. He was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, Emmaus. He served in the U.S. Army, 350th Infantry, 88th division during WWII earning a European, African, and Middle Eastern Service medal. He was a prisoner of war in Germany. He was a graduate of Fordham University and Columbia University.
Survivors: Wife; Daughters, Lydia Patterson and husband Ronald of MD, Noreen Schlegel and husband Ronald of Allentown, and Alison Walsh-Braver and husband Adam Braver of RI; Grandchildren, Christian, Amanda, Natalie, and Addison.
Services: Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 AM, Tues., Feb. 22, 2011 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 415 S. 6th St., Emmaus, PA. Viewing: 10:00 AM until time of Mass at the church.
