Obituary

James H. Tettemer, of Dalmatia and formerly of Coopersburg, passed away on November 1 at the age of 79. He was born in Allentown to the late Edward and Mabel Tettemer and had been married to his loving wife Irene for the past 54 years. "Jimmy" served 4 years in the Navy during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post 504 in Herndon. He was a union carpenter and owner of Tettemer Farms in Coopersburg, until his retirement. After retiring he moved to Dalmatia and started his hobby of wood crafting and woodcraft shows where he became well known for his award winning cowboy boot bird houses. He will be fondly remembered for his story telling, and for his love of life and nature. He was predeceased by his brother Paul. Survivors: Wife Irene of Dalmatia, 4 Daughters Diane and husband Tim Long of Winfield, Linda Klingle of Bangor, Michele and husband Steve Turpening of Bethlehem, Karen and husband David Miller of Coopersburg. Son David and wife Mary Ann of Hereford. Mother in Law Miriam Harvey, who resided with them in Dalmatia. Sister Eva and husband Paul Kraft of Lebanon, Brothers: Ralph and wife Mona of Coopersburg, Robert and wife Laura of Coopersburg, Sister in Law Gertrude Tettemer of Coopersburg, 9 Grand Children and 6 Great Grandchildren. Services: A viewing will be held on Friday November 5 from 11AM until a service at Noon at Norcross-Weber Funeral Home, 101 B. North Main Street in Coopersburg, Pa.
