James F. Sherlock, of Macungie, passed away on December 18 ^th at the age of 92. He was born in Philadelphia to the late James A. and Ruth R. Sherlock and would have been married to his loving wife Margaret for 46 years this December 27 ^th . James graduated from Bartram High School in West Philadelphia where he was a 7 Letterman and an All City Athlete. James proudly served his country in the Army as a sergeant during the Korean War. He was known for regaling friends and family with his story telling and enjoyed the outdoors: gardening, biking, tennis and playing golf. James retired in 1993 after working for the Steam Fitters Local 420 in Philadelphia for 37 years. Being a devout Catholic, he was a man of faith who belonged to St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Allentown. He was predeceased by his brother Dennis W. Sherlock and was a wonderful husband, father and step father to his: Wife Margaret A. ; Children: James D and wife Jennifer Sherlock, Michael J. and wife Fietta Sherlock, Marybeth Barrett and husband Tom, J. William Sobieski, Mary Catherine Crocker and husband Chris; Grandchildren: Kathleen, Brian, Eric, Bailey, Ellie, Hank and Olivia. Sister: Mary Bauman and husband Al. Services are Private.
