James L. "Jim" Schlegel Jr.,61, of Danielsville, formerly of Allentown, passed away Oct. 19 at his home. Born in Shamokin, he was the son of the late Betty (Moore) and James L. Schlegel Sr. Jim was the husband of Dianne M. (Buchman) with whom he had just celebrated 39 yrs. of marriage. He owned and operated American Hydraulics in Allentown for the past 25 yrs. Jim had belonged to Trinity E.C. Church in Berlinsville. Jim loved life, his family, and his God. He was a friend to all he came into contact with. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, outdoorsman, gardener, and creator of innovative equipment and ideas. Survivors: Wife; sons, Douglas and wife Lani of Sumneytown, James III of Dillsburg; daughters; Jamie at home, and Jennifer wife of Michael Horning of Allentown; two grandchildren, Amelia and Kyle; sisters, Jean wife of Benny Rozansky, Barbara Work, Carolyn Heuchan, and Patricia wife of Craig Overholt; many nieces and nephews.
