James J. Reis, 64, passed away July 7 at his home in Allentown. Born in Allentown he was a son of the late Henry and Ella (Hoffmeister) Reis. Jim served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked as a salesman his entire life, and also co- owned the Old Lehigh Brewing Co. Jim was an avid gardener, and a good cook. He also enjoyed fishing and was a connoisseur of automobiles. Jim was a member of the West Side Republican Club in Bethlehem. Survivors: Mary Mlynek; daughter, Janine wife of Timothy Reppert; loving Hoffmeister cousins, and good friends.
