Surrounded by his family Dr. James T. Nelson of Coopersburg, PA passed away on January 22, 2018.  He was born March 28, 1924 to Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Nelson of Portland, Oregon.  During World War II he served in the Navy as an Electronics Technician Mate 1 ^st Class, on the USS Vega, in the Pacific Theater.  He married Gem Elizabeth Cressman on June 20, 1948.  With a Ph.D. in Physics from University of Oregon, Mr. Nelson had numerous patents, awards, and published research papers in semiconductor technologies.  Two children, Patricia Nelson and Richard Nelson, survive him.
