Obituary

James E. Seng, "Jim", age 90, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. He was born December 1, 1932 in Allentown, the son of the late Albert and Madeline (Fidler) Seng.

Jim graduated in the Class of 1949 from Allen High School and was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Over his lifetime he would love to tell his war stories, especially in his elderly days, looking to get his old war-time job back. He loved fishing, camping, and playing pool. In his retired life, he was also very passionate about his cross-country bike riding. His biggest life regret was his wife, Georgia catching the bigger fish.

He is survived by his loving wife of more than 40 years, Georgia M. Seng of Allentown; two sons, Peter A. (Debra) Seng of Allentown and David A. (Jolene) Seng of Allentown; daughter, Carole A. Seng of Washington; step-son, Scott C. (Deb) Schumacher of Minnesota; and six grandchildren, Zachary, Emily, Nicholas, Jennifer, Alexander, and Makayla.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by grandson, Matthew; sister, Joan Frick; and brother, Albert Seng.

Professional Services are entrusted to Weber Funeral Homes, P.C. in Allentown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral Church of St. Catharine of Siena on Friday, March 31, 2023 at 1:30 P.M.
