James, 84, of Macungie passed away on November 27, 2014. He was born in New York City on August 4, 1930, to the late James and Irene (Coogan) Cosgrove. He was predeceased by his first wife of 43 years, Kathleen (Murphy), and is survived by his wife of 19 years, Betty (Gaven) Cosgrove. He graduated from Fordham University and was the longtime Chief Financial Officer of the Association of National Advertisers in New York. He was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, the Knights of Columbus, and volunteered with Meals on Wheels. He also sang in the church choir and was a member of Summer Harmony. He was predeceased by his stepson Thomas Carchia.
Survivors: Wife Betty; daughter Margaret Herman and husband Kent; grandchildren Patrick, Caitlyn, and Sean Herman; great grandchildren Caden and Declan Herman; stepchildren Catherine Phillips and David Carchia; step grandchildren Casey, Daniel, and Abigail Phillips, and Julia Carchia; and many other loving family members and friends.
Services: Visitation Monday, December 1, 2014, at 9:30am, and a Memorial Mass at 10:00am, both at St. Thomas More Church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown, PA 18103. Interment will be privately held. www.weberfuneralhomes.com
