James E. Bradley, 75, of 1910 East Tremont Street, Allentown, died August 6, 2012 in ManorCare of Bethlehem. He was the husband of Marian (Eisenbrown) Bradley. They were married in Allentown May 27, 1972.
Born in Larchmont, NY, March 28, 1937, he was the son of the late James E. Bradley, Sr. and Ruth (McAlee) Bradley. He resided in Johnsonburg ( Elk County), Pa, 1948-62, completing high school there, then moved to Allentown in March, 1962.
He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1958. He was commissioned upon university graduation in the Transportation Corps, US Army Reserve, and served in ready status, 1958-66. He had a career in transportation and freight traffic management from 1959 until 1984. After that, he was a pension paralegal for R.P. Mills Associates, Allentown, until retiring in 1998 , after receiving a life-saving liver transplant at Penn State Hersey Medical Center.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Allentown, serving on its adult choir, as a lector, and on the Worship and Prayer and Pro-Life committees.
He was a lifelong railroad enthusiast, photographer, collector and modeler. He was a 56 year member of the National Railway Historical Society and for many years a member of its Hawk Mountain and Lehigh Valley Chapters.
Survivors: Wife, Marian (Eisenbrown) Bradley; sister, Joyce Goeller of Tucson,Az., niece Jessica Goeller Williams of Pasadena, Ca, and nephews Morgan Gregory Goeller of Austin, TX and Corry James Goeller of Round Rock, TX.
