Jacqueline "Jackie" Ann Schwindenhammer, age 91 of Allentown, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her loved ones on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at her home. She was born September 16, 1931 in Northampton, the daughter of the late Catherine Thomas.
Jackie graduated in the Class of 1949 from Northampton High School and worked for many years as a proofreader for the Morning Call before retiring in 1993. She was also a member of St. Thomas More Church in Allentown.
She is survived by daughter, Cathi E. Schwindenhammer and partner, William of Shippensburg; four sons, Richard J. (Patricia) of Whitehall, Jeffrey T. (Jodi) of Bethlehem, Thomas S. (Karen) of Coplay, David F. Schwindenhammer and fiance Alice Bennett of Allentown; six grandchildren, Amanda, Jessica, Dylan, Jennifer, Paul, and Eli; four great-grandchildren, Paige, Parker, Benjamin, and Elyse; and two nieces, Susan and Linda.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased in 1996 by her loving husband, Raymond L. Schwindenhammer.
Professional Services are entrusted to Weber Funeral Homes in Allentown. A Public Viewing will be held Tuesday, March 7, 2022 starting at 10:30 A.M. until the Mass of Christian Burial is celebrated at 11:30 A.M. all at St. Thomas More Church in Allentown. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jackie's memory to 1st Care Home Health Services, 5000 W. Tilghman St., Suite 200 Allentown, PA 18104.
