Irene Wiersch, 93, of Coopersburg, died Monday May 7, 2007 in Valley Manor Nurs. & Rehab. Center. She was married to Frederick Wiersch 67 years before his death in 1997. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Sabo) Salfai. Irene was a machine operator over 30 years at various Allentown and Quakertown area mills retiring in 1966. She was a member of Grace Moravian Church of Center Valley. Survivors: Daughter-in-Law, Helen R. Wiersch of Coopersburg; grandchildren, Glen and wife Rhonda of Colorado Springs, CO, Larry and wife Diane of New Tripoli; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Theresa Schlemmer of Bell Haven, PA.
