Irene M. VanCoeur
Irene M. VanCoeur, 96 of Leesport, passed away in Berks Heim Nursing Home on June 16th. Born in Winepeg, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Albert E. and Hattie A. (Cox) McCartney. She was the wife of the late Leslie. A. VanCoeur for 46 years before he passed away in 1984. She was a member of Pennside Presbyterian Church, Mt. Penn PA. Irene was a secretary for Local 471 Laborers Union for 16 years retiring in 1970. Prior, she worked for CNA Insurance Co. Reading.
Survivors; Son; Brian and his wife Linda of Blandon, PA. Five Grandchildren and three Great-Grandchildren. Irene was predeceased by a son, Paul who passed away in 2005.
