Irene C. Merkle, of Allentown passed away on July 6, 2026 at the age of 88. She was born in Walnutport, PA to the late Elmer and Bertha (Christman) Berger and was predeceased by her husband Harold. Irene enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing board games and watching game shows. Survivors: Children: Kathleen Beatty, Brenda and husband Joseph Young and Carol and husband Chris Michael. Grandchildren: Harold Merkle, Amy Miller, Jessica Carroll, Connor Michael. Great Grandchildren: Austin Miller, Alec Heil, Jacob Merkle, Jazmin Carroll, Mathew Carroll Jr. and Elizabeth Carroll. Great Great Granddaughter Ivory Miller. A viewing will be held at Weber Funeral Home 502 Ridge Ave, in Allentown starting at 9:00AM to be followed by a funeral service at 10:00AM on Saturday July 11, 2026.
