Husen Al-khal, 81, of Allentown passed away on February 14, 2016 at the home of her daughter. She was born in Amar, Syria June 16, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Saleem and Sara Al-khal. Husen was a beloved member of the Syrian community in Allentown. She came to Allentown from Syria in August 1981. Husen graduated from Manpower and worked as a sewing machine operator until her retirement. She loved going to church and helping others. She was very active with her family and grandchildren. She will be missed deeply.
Survivors: 7 children, Raymond Atiyeh, Elie Atiyeh, Roweida Azar, Lelia Ido, Nora Sawan, Souzi Bentelspacher, and Yamama Thaljih; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Services: 11am Friday, February 19, 2016 at The First Presbyterian Church 3231 Tilghman St. Allentown. A Viewing will be held Thursday February 18, 2016 from 7pm until 9pm at the Weber Funeral Home, 502 Ridge Ave. Allentown.
