Horace J. Schaffer Sr., of Quakertown, passed away Saturday May 16th peacefully at his home. He was born on May 10th 1929 in Limeport PA. Horace was the son of the late Horace and Meri (Bratkovitz) Schaffer. His passion in life was farming. He worked at Somerset Valley Construction of NJ and Dennis Maurer Excavating of Quakertown before retiring to be a full time farmer. Horace enjoyed hunting at his camp in Bradford County with family and friends.
SURVIORS: 3 sons, Horace Jr. and wife Ethel, Danny and wife Debra, David and wife Cynthia; 3 daughters, Arlene wife of David Wieand, Mary wife of Dennis Maurer, and Judy Craner. Horace is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 8 step-grandchildren.
SERVICES: 1:30pm Wednesday May 20th, 2015 at Norcross-Weber Funeral Home 101 B N. Main St. Coopersburg. Viewing will be from 11:30am till time of service all at the funeral home.
