Helena Wieder Ziegler Helena Ziegler passed away Sunday morning, January 9th from natural causes. She was born in Allentown, PA on September 28th, 1926. She graduated from Allen High School in 1944. She was a former employee of H N Crowder Jr. as a bookkeeper until retiring to stay home to raise her two children. Always a smile on her face, she will be missed by her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, playing cards, and walking. She loved parties and picnics and spending time with her family. She was an avid animal lover, especially dogs. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Allentown for many years until joining Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Bethlehem. Helena was preceded in passing by her three brothers, Herman Wieder, Carl Wieder, and John Wieder. She is survived by her husband of sixty-three years, Richard Schantz Ziegler of Bethlehem. She is also survived by her son, Richard Scott Ziegler, her daughter-in-law, Barbara Ziegler, and her grandson Michael Ziegler as well as her daughter, Robin Sue Dogas, her son-in-law, Christos Dogas and her grandchildren, Dimitrious and Nicholas Dogas. A memorial service will be held for friends and family at Weber Funeral Home, 502 Ridge Ave. Allentown on Thurs. January, 13th at 11:00am. A private graveside ceremony will be held at Laurel Cemetery prior to the memorial service. A luncheon will be held following the service at The Olive Garden, 715 Grape St. Whitehall.
