Helena "Helen" J.  Elchaak, age 99, of Allentown, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Cedarbrook Fountain Hill Nursing Home. She was born September 6, 1923 in Allentown, the daughter of the late Frank and Julia (Holowiak) Elchook.

Helen attended Allen High School. She owned her own beauty shop in Allentown and worked as a hairdresser for many years. She also worked for Muhlenberg College, where she retired. Helen loved to travel, especially for her bowling league with her friends. She was a person of faith and a religious auxiliary member of many church social clubs; some of these being the Harugari Club and the Fairview Bowlers Club. She will be remembered by her family for her creative floral arrangements and skilled gift wrapping.

She is survived by three nieces, Janice (Larry) Foster of CO, Karen (David) Lederach of Bethlehem, and Lynn Herr of Whitehall; two nephews, Barry (Bernie) Spitko of Whitehall and James (Beth) Elchook of NC; nine grandnieces and one grandnephew; and eight great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Michael and Frank Elchook; and sister, Mary Spitko.

Professional Services are entrusted to Weber Funeral Homes, P.C. of Allentown. A Public Viewing will be held Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 9:00 A.M. until the time of Funeral Services at 9:30 A.M. all at Weber Funeral Homes, P.C. 1619 Hamilton Street, Allentown, PA 18102. Interment will be in Ss. Cyril and Methodius/Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Cemetery in North Catasauqua, PA 18032.
