Obituary

Helen V. Martocci, 86, of Allentown, passed away unexpectedly Monday, August 28, 2023 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. She was born March 7, 1937 in Allentown, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (DiStefano) Alloggio.


Helen graduated in the Class of 1955 from William Allen High School. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her nurturing spirit shaped the lives of her children and instilled in them the values of family, love, and empathy. Her unwavering support and guidance were a constant source of inspiration, providing them with the tools to face life's challenges with courage. Helen's greatest passion was simply spending time with her family whether it was the holidays, cooking, or vacationing. She was a faithful member of the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena. Helen's impact extended well beyond her immediate family. Her circle of friends was a testament to the deep connections she formed throughout her lifetime. Her genuine interest in people, her listening ear, and her ability to offer comfort made her a source of solace for many.


Helen is survived by two daughters, Stephanie (Scott) Bills of Halifax, PA, and Donna (Bob) Vancavage of Halfmoon, NY; son-in-law, Bryan Callahan of Bethlehem; five grandchildren; Travis, Trevor, Rachel, Cody, and Erica; four great-grandchildren, Mazlyn, Saydra, Adalyn, Angelina; and sister, Rosalie (Philip) Sabbeti.


In addition to her parents, she was predeceased in 2018 by her loving husband of over 60 years, Domenic Martocci; daughter, Lucia Callahan; two grandsons, Ryan and Tracyn; and sister, Rita Capuano.


Professional Services are entrusted to Weber Funeral Homes, P.C. in Allentown. A Visitation will be held Wednesday September 6, 2023 starting at 10:30 A.M. at the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena where the family will receive relatives and friends until the Mass of Christian Burial is celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Interment will immediately follow at Resurrection cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lehigh Valley Hospice, 2024 Lehigh St Ste 100, Allentown, PA 18103.
