Helen A. Loper, 66, of Allentown died Tuesday November 14, 2006 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. She was the wife of Joseph P. Loper for 41 years before his death August 6, 2000. Born in Wilkes-Barre, a daughter of Irene (Morris) Skaff of Allentown, and the late Isaac Skaff. Helen was an aide for Intermediate Unit 20 for 15 years before retiring in December 2005. Previously she was employed by the I.L.G.W.U. in the Allentown area for many years. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and a former volunteer for the Sixth Ward polling center. Survivors: Daughters, Catherine A. Leon of Allentown and Joanne wife of Robert Gramlich of Fountain Hill; son, Thomas J. at home; sisters, Agnes wife of Louis Lutterschmidt and Mary Ann wife of Rudolph Preletz and a brother, Bill Skaff all of Allentown; seven grandchildren, Christina, Jerome, Joseph and Jonathan Leon, Angel Jr. and Antonio Torres and Isaac Coronado; aunt, Catherine Morris of Allentown. She was predeceased by a grandson Pedro Leon, Jr. Services: Mass 11:00 AM Saturday in the church.
