Helen Josephine
Litzenberger
January 25, 1935 – June 12, 2021
Helen Josephine Litzenberger was born in Wilmington, Delaware on January 25, 1935 to the late Helen and Alexander Burawski. She worked at Bell Telephone as a telephone operator. She then met the love of her life Thomas George Litzenberger whom served in the U.S. Air Force, based in Dover, Delaware. They were married July 10, 1954. They then relocated to Allentown, PA and had a son, Eugene Thomas Litzenberger, born April 17, 1955. Her son died June 25, 1974 in an auto accident at the age of 19. Helen's husband died the following year from a massive heart attack, August 14, 1975.
Helen continued to work at the Mack Truck Company. Later in years, she met Carl Morth aka "Whitey" who died February 25, 1997. He was a very loving Gentleman and supported Helen through her difficult years.
Helen was involved in the UAW and received awards. She loved to cook, sew, garden and bowl until she could no longer do so. Helen loved animals. She fed the birds, squirrels and rabbits in her yard. She always had dogs that she would walk through her neighborhood on her scooter. Helen always spoke fondly of her neighbors and was active in her community in her younger years.
Helen departed on June 12, 2021 to be with the Lord. She will truly be missed. She is survived by one brother and four sisters, 6 nieces, 7 nephews, 16 great nieces, 6 great-nephews, 1 great-great niece and 6 great-great nephews.
Services will be held at the Weber Funeral Home located at 502 Ridge Avenue Allentown, PA at 11:00am Saturday June 26, 2021. Immediately following she will be laid to Rest alongside her husband and son at the Lehigh Zion Cemetery in Alburtis. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Helen's honor to the Humane Society.
