Helen M. Kochis
Helen M. Kochis, 93, of Allentown, died June 21, 2009 at the Lehigh Valley Hospice-Inpatient unit, Allentown. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Ignatz and Mary (Pfeiffer) Szayki. She was the wife of the late Ernest G. Kochis for over 55 years until his death in 1998. She was a life member of St. Stephen of Hungary Catholic Church, Allentown. She was a secretary for Mack Trucks, the Allentown School District, and retired from Western Electric Company in 1981. She was a member of the Pioneers Club at Western Electric.
Survivors: Son, Ernest E. Kochis of Seattle, WA; Granddaughter, Hilary, wife of Andy Varner of Bakersfield, CA; Grandson, Stephen Kochis of Las Vegas, NV; Great Grandchildren, Abigail and Silas Varner, and Stephen Kochis.
