Hazel I. Newhard, 89, of Allentown, died Sunday February 10, 2008 in Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Alfred C. Newhard. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Jacob and Sarah (Meyers) Moyer. Hazel served as a crossing guard for the Allentown School District at Ridge and Gordon Streets. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church of Allentown. Survivors: Grandchildren, Jeffrey S. Newhard, Christine Wittland and Elizabeth Nicholas; three great-grandchildren. Predeceased by sons James A. Newhard in 1971 and Jeffrey F. Newhard in 1996. Services: Mass of Christian Burial 12:00 PM Friday, February 15, 2008, Immaculate Conception Church, 501 Ridge Ave., Allentown. Call 11:00 AM-12:00 PM in the church.
