Hazel B. Harpster, age 94, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2022 in Quakertown. She was born March 21, 1928 in Doylestown, PA, the daughter of the late Harry and Jennie (Gilbert) Black.

Hazel graduated in the Class of 1946 from Doylestown High School and continued to live in Doylestown for the entirety of her life. She worked for the Bell Telephone Company for many years, where she met her husband, Harold. She went on to work in the quality control department of Penn Engineering & Manufacturing Corporation in Bucks county. Hazel continued her work in the library of the Kutz Elementary School in Doylestown. After retiring, she also worked in the library of the Central Bucks Senior Center for years. She was a dedicated member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Doylestown and an avid sports fan of Little League Baseball in Williamsport and all the Philadelphia teams as a whole. She traveled the United States extensively with her husband, reaching all 50 states in her lifetime. She loved to read, take bus trips to the casino, and attended just about every Broadway Theater show.

Hazel is survived by two daughters, Jennie Harpster-Basiago and Judy and husband Ronald McGovern; grandchild, Carolyn McGovern; and three great-grandsons, Johnathan, Rowan, and Gavin.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased in 2007 by her loving husband of 57 years, Harold Harpster; and sister, Laura.

Professional Services are entrusted to Weber Funeral Homes, P.C. in Allentown. Services are private.
