Harry O. Warren

Harry O. Warren, 89, of Coopersburg, passed on Oct. 3, 2014 at Quakertown Center after a brief illness. Born in Manchester, NH, he was a son of the late Thomas F. and Agnes (McDonald) Warren. He was the loving husband of the late Mary Ann (Donnelly) Warren for 51 years until her death in 2011. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Coopersburg. Harry graduated from Tufts University in 1949 and earned a PhD in Physical Chemistry from Catholic University in 1964. He started the chemistry department at Allentown College/DeSales University in 1966, where he taught and served as department head until 1988, later retiring from teaching in 2003. Harry served during WWII in the U.S. Navy. He was a life long fan of the Boston Red Sox and Notre Dame football.

Survivors: Daughter, Kathleen of Coopersburg; Sons, Thomas of Coopersburg, Michael of Harleysville, Joseph, husband of Frances of Whitehall, and Daniel, husband of Melissa of Northampton; Brother, Richard Warren of Hooksett, NH; Brother in Law, John Donnelly, husband of Patricia of North Wales; Sister in Law, Kathleen Donnelly of Beach Haven, NJ; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and his beloved dogs, Malachi and Misty. He was predeceased by two brothers, Thomas and James, and a brother in law, James Donnelly.

Services: Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 AM, Wed., Oct. 8, 2014 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 5050 St. Joseph's Rd., Coopersburg, PA.
