Gloria M. Makovsky
Gloria M. Makovsky, 87, of Whitehall, PA, passed away October 11, 2007 at Lehigh Valley Hospice-Inpatient Unit, Allentown. Born in Allentown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Angelo and Rose (DeAngelis) Guarente. She was the wife of the late Paul M. Makovsky for 55 years until his death in 1997. She was a devoted member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church. She was a garment worker and member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union for over 30 years. Prior to this she was a licensed beautician in New York City. She was a member of the St. Elizabeth's Golden Agers and the Whitehall Senior Citizen Organization. She was a former member of the Notre Dame Club. She was an avid Phillies Fan. She enjoyed her many trips to the casino and playing Bingo.
Survivors: Sons, Paul D. of Catasauqua, Martin J., husband of Mary Ann of Bethlehem, Thomas P., husband of Julie of Whitehall, and Keith A. of Alburtis; Daughter, Anita M., wife of Joseph N. Santilli of Allentown; Sister, Amelia Scott; Five Grandchildren, Gabriel, Joseph, Zachary, Lyndsey, and Trisha; Great-Grandson, Anthony.
Services: Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30 A.M. Tues., October 16, 2007 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, 618 Fullerton Avenue, Whitehall, PA.
