Obituary

Gladys "Gus" J. Mosko, 93, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023, peacefully at her home. She was born October 12, 1929 in Hellertown, the daughter of the late Russell and Alma (Frankenfield) Fluck.

The family moved to Coopersburg when Gladys was one year old. She graduated in the Class of 1945 from Coopersburg High School. After high school, she graduated from Allentown Business School and worked for Dale Footwear of Coopersburg until later accepting a position as a clerk with the United States Postal Service, Coopersburg office in 1960 from where she retired in 1990. She had a keen wit and enjoyed socializing with patrons and friends. In her earlier years, before she lost her sight, she loved to create oil paintings; several featuring the local scenery. Gladys also loved various card and board games, especially playing pinochle anywhere within driving distance. Gladys was known as the hat lady at many of the senior centers. She was a lifetime member of the Coopersburg Historical Society, a loving woman, and quite the comedian.

Gladys is survived by two sons, Mark Mosko and Michael (Kathy) Mosko of Coopersburg; one granddaughter, Natalie; two great-grandchildren, Finley and Sadie O'Brien.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased in 2015 by her loving husband of 64 years, Stephen Mosko.

Services are at the discretion of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Gladys's memory to the Coopersburg Historical Society.
