Gilberto Vega, of Allentown, passed away on June 27 at the age of 73. He was born in Ciales, Puerto Rico to the late: Juan and Tribusia (Perez) Vega and was predeceased by his wife Justina (Rivera) Vega in 2005. Gilberto was a Textile machine operator for 32 years with Phoenix Clothing. Survivors: 3 Sons: Edwin A. Vega, Hector M. Vega, and Jose A. and wife Christine Vegas. Daughter Miriam Burgos. Grandsons: Edwin Vega Jr., Samuel Vega, Jonathan Adcock, and Edward James Igo. 8 Brothers and Sisters: Margarita Vega, Guillermo Vega, Francisco Vega, Antonio Vega, Jose Luis Vega, Diego Vega, Enrique Vega, and Herminio Vega. Services: A viewing will be held on Tuesday June 30 from 6-9Pm and on Wednesday July 1 from 8:30-9:30Am at Weber Funeral Home, 502 Ridge Ave., Allentown to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Allentown at 10AM.
