Geraldine E. Minner
Geraldine Elizabeth Minner, 82, of Macungie, PA passed away on October 25, 2013 with her family by her side. She was the wife of Dr. Rodney J. Minner of 59 years and 11 months.
She was a 1949 graduate of William Allen High school and a 1952 graduate of Allentown Hospital School of Nursing. She worked at Philadelphia General Hospital as O.R. nurse until the birth of her children.
During her lifetime, she enjoyed being the President of the Catasauqua Junior Women's Club, Volunteer Member of the Allentown Symphony Association where she was Ball Chairman for two Symphony Balls. She was Bal de la Tour chairman for the Sacred Heart Hospital, a member of the Cotillion Society and a member of the Lehigh Valley Dental Auxiliary. Her interests included all types of flowers, dancing, playing cards, traveling, and parades.
She is survived by Rodney, her husband, and her four children: R. Jeffery and his wife, Colleen of Mission Viejo, CA; Roger and his wife Mary of Columbus, OH; The Rev. Ronald J. of New Philadelphia, PA, and Marybeth and her husband Gregory of Bethlehem PA. She has five grandchildren: Russell, Ronon, Annie, Sarah, and Samantha.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, October, 28 at 11:00 am in St. Ann's Church, Emmaus. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 10:15 to 10:45 at the church; Internment will be private, family only.
