George M. Smith, 83, passed away Nov. 17 at Cedarbrook Fountain Hill. Born in Fountain Hill, he was a son of the late Percy and Jean (Hope) Smith. George was the husband of Marjorie D. (Fehnel) with whom he celebrated 51 yrs. of marriage this past June. George was employed by Lehigh Valley Dairy in the shipping dept. for 21 yrs. prior to his retirement in 1987. He was a former member of The Assoc. for the Blind and Visually Impaired and served on their Board of Directors for 9 yrs. He was a member and past president (for 3 yrs) of the Federation for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Survivors: Wife; sons, Jeffrey and wife Linda of Allentown, Michael and partner Thom Creo of Holland, VT, Gary and wife Liz of Easton; grandchildren, Eric and wife Jamie, Ashley and Laura; great grandchildren, Abygail and Joshua; brothers, Robert, Albert, and Harold; sister Elva Koren; nieces and nephews.
