Gary B. Gackenbach, 76, of Allentown, passed away February 5, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Catasauqua, he was the son of the late Stanley and Gladys (Wright) Gackenbach. Gary is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, June (Reichl) Gackenbach.

He worked as a sexton at First Presbyterian Church in Bethlehem for over ten years; he also worked for several years at A-Treat in Allentown. Gary loved playing pinochle, hunting, was a member of a bowling league, and was an avid Phillies fan.

In addition to his wife, he is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Tina Summers, his son-in-law, Christopher Summers, four nephews, and five nieces.

He was preceded in passing by his parents and his two brothers, Keith and Glenn Gackenbach.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 6PM-8PM; a second viewing will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022 from 9:30AM until the service at 10AM, all at Weber Funeral Homes 502 Ridge Avenue Allentown, PA 18102.

Donations may be made in Gary's name to the charity of your choice benefitting cancer patients.
