Freida Mae Shisslak of Allentown, Pennsylvania December 3, 1934 - December 15, 2020

Freida Mae Shisslak, of Allentown, passed away on December 15th at the age of 86. She was the daughter of the late Warren and Mabel (Longenbach) Hottenstein. Freida was predeceased by her husband Edward, her daughter Robin Bierman and son in law David Bierman, brother Warren, sisters Anna Mae and Dawn. Freida was a seamstress at Maddie Dress, a CNA at Cedarbrook and Brookmont Nursing Homes, and she and her husband were caretakers at the YMCA Camp Adams for over ten years where so many wonderful family memories were made. She was quiet, humble, loved taking care of people, enjoyed long walks, camping, and doing word searches. She had a favorite child, they know who they are.

Survivors: Children: Edward Jr. and wife Amy Shisslak, Roxanne and husband Jerry Miller, Denise Larrimore and husband Christopher, and Jeffrey and wife Deanna Shisslak. Grandchildren: Eliza, Joshua, Ed, Faye, Holly, Jerry, Aubrey, Ronnie, Jeffrey, and Natalie. Great Grandchildren Sophie, Joseph, Sophia, Sawyer, AnnaLee, AmeliaMae, Cora, Landon, Eloise, Dantee and two on the way. Brothers: John "Mex" (Barbara) Hottenstein and Ronald (Gail) Hottenstein, and sister-in-law Gloria Hottenstein, Katherine Shisslak, Sophie Thompson and brother-in-law Paul Gackenbach and her extended family at Cedarbrook Nursing Home who provided such compassionate care over the last several years. Services are private. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Freida's memory to Alzheimer's Foundation of America, Parkinson's Foundation, Cedarbrook Nursing Home or charity of one's choice.
