Freeman C. Moyer Jr., 93, of Allentown, passed away February 11th, 2017. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Freeman C. Moyer Sr. and the late Lillian (Miller) Moyer.
Freeman had attended Yoders Elementary School until 8th grade when he went on to Zionsville. He then attended Emmaus High School and earned his high school diploma. After graduating, Freeman went on to continue his education at Temple University Technical School for one year. He also served our country in the U.S. Army as Corporal F.C. Moyer, 871st Aviation Engineer Battalion during World War II. Freeman spent his working years as a taxi driver and working for Mack Trucks. He is also remembered as being an avid stamp and coin collector.
SURVIVORS: Freeman is survived by his sister, Eleanor LeFevre; sister-in-law Marlene Moyer; nephew Robert Moyer; nieces Kim Ritter, Melody Moyer and Laurie Hessong. He also has one grand-nephew, Zaven Moyer McCarty, two grand-nieces Danielle Jimenez and Adriane Ritter, and three great-grand-nephew/nieces, Asher and Jayla Jennalee Jimenez and Ally Smith.
