Frederick G. Knauss, Jr.
Frederick G. Knauss, Jr., 79, of Emmaus, died April 15, 2007 at Blough Health Care Center, Bethlehem. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Frederick G., Sr. and Eleanor (Kohl) Knauss. He was the husband of Shirley M. Knauss for 55 years. He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Allentown. He was a civil engineer for PP&L until retiring in 1993. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #792, Emmaus, the Exchange Club of Fountain Hill, and the Emmaus Aquatic Club. He volunteered at the Good Shepherd Home, Cedarbrook Nursing Home, and for Meals on Wheels.
Survivors: Wife; Daughters, Deborah, wife of Robert Pollinger and Marsha, wife of William D. O'Brian, Jr.; Grandchildren, Chad, Tricia, Justin, Timothy, Christopher, and Corie; Great-Grandchildren, Joseph and Jacob; Brothers, Daniel and William Knauss; Sister, Delores Beck.
