Frank E. Schlener Sr., of Allentown, passed away on July 28th at the age of 88. He was born in Allentown to the late Andrew and Ida (Liebezeit) Schlener and has been married for the past 60 years to his loving wife Mary (Kollar). Frank had served in the South Pacific in the Navy, during WWII, was an avid bowler, and had been the Boiler Room Operator for A & B Meats and then at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, until his retirement. Frank was very proud to have received a certificate for 60 years of continuous voting. He was predeceased by his son in law John Knott, Brothers: Charles and Richard, and Sisters: Margaret Amptman, Wilma Legath, Dorothy Dex, and Hilda Weiser.
Survivors: Wife Mary, Children: Frank Schlener Jr. and wife Nancy, Susan Knott, Joseph Schlener, Jane and husband Stephen Columbo. Grandchildren: Elena and husband Justin Wedge and Nicholas Columbo. Brothers: William, Robert and Eugene Schlener
Services: A calling will be held on Thursday July 31st starting at 9AM until a Service at 10Am both at Weber Funeral Home, 502 Ridge Ave. in Allentown.
