Francis M. Rieg III, of Center Valley, passed away on September 30, 2017 at the age of 74. He was born in Uniontown, Pa to the late Francis M. Rieg Jr. and Irma G. (Bishop) and was predeceased by his first wife Kathryn (Hawthorne) and his granddaughter Amanda. Francis was a Civil Engineer Project Manager for Foster Wheeler and Sun Oil Co., retiring in 2003. He was an avid reader and history buff, a current member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Coopersburg and a former member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, in Lansdale.
Survivors: Wife Sally A. Rieg; Son F. Michael Rieg IV and wife Amy; Step-children Minna and husband Craig Mindler, James and wife Judy Calhoun, Robert Calhoun and companion Teresa Roberts. Grandchildren: Braden and Jack Rieg; Step-grandchildren Kevin, Jeffrey, Ryan, Andrew, Kelli, Heather, and Randy along with 3 Step-great-grandchildren; Brother Michael and wife Elizabeth Rieg.
Services: A Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 5 starting at 9:00AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM, both at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 5050 St. Josephs Road, in Coopersburg.
Contributions in lieu of flowers: may be made to Girard College or St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
