Obituary

Francis "Frank" Koerbler, 80, of Allentown died Saturday February 3, 2007 at his daughters' residence in Schnecksville. He was the husband of Dorothy (Kanishock) Koerbler for 49 years until her death October 29, 1999. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Frank and Louise (Hodl) Koerbler. Frank was owner and proprietor of the former Sumner Avenue Car Wash for 53 years before retiring in 2005. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church of Allentown where he served as an usher for many years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion Post 576, Austrian-Hungarian Veterans Assn., and Cross-Keys Social Club all of Allentown. Frank loved spending time with his grandchildren, rides in the country and all animals. Survivors: Daughters, Carole A. and Donna L., with whom he resided; sons, Frank M. and wife Sallie of Allentown, Scott M. and wife Cecilia of Palmerton and Barry G. and wife Christine of Germansville; nine grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Marie Giacobbe. Services: Mass of Christian Burial Friday 11:00 am, St. Francis of Assisi Church, 801 N. 11th Street, Allentown with the Rev. Martin F. Kern officiating. Call: 7-9 pm Thursday, Weber Funeral Homes, P.C., 1619 Hamilton St. and 10-10:50 am Friday in the church.
