Francis W. Frederick, 89 of Bethlehem, formerly of California, died Friday April 14 in St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. He was the husband of Thelma E. (Welch) Frederick for 61 years before her death on August 14, 2003. Born in Reno Twp., MN, he was a son of the late Frank and Clara Bell (Miller) Frederick. Francis served in Europe with the US Army during WWII. After the war he moved to California where he worked as a heavy equipment mechanic at Camp Pendleton before retiring and moving to Bethlehem to be near his family. He was a good man but not a religious one. He enjoyed ocean fishing and reading and loved his grandchildren most of all.
