Frances Deutsch

Frances Deutsch, 98, a lifelong resident of Allentown passed away on April 1, 2015 at the St. Luke's Hospice House. Born in Allentown; she was a daughter of the late Charles and Frances (Eberhardt) Schmall. She was the wife of the late William C. Deutsch, Sr. for 51 years until his death in 1994. Frances worked as a sewing machine operator in many textile mills during her life. She was a member and supporter of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and School, Allentown. She read the Readers' Digest each month from cover to cover, enjoyed Polka music, especially Jolly Joe Timmer and Walt Groller, playing cards, Bingo and the slots in Atlantic City. She also enjoyed weekends at the Jersey Shore, days at Promised Land State Park, and picnics at Jordan Park. Frances was predeceased by two sisters, Angela Schwoyer and Margaret Schmall.

Survivors: Sons, William, Jr., husband of Sally of Egg Harbor City, NJ, Rich, husband of Mary of Northampton, Bob, husband of Loretta of Fountain Hill, Tony, husband of Cheryl of Kutztown; Grandchildren, Tom, Julie, Amy, Mike, Andrew, Jonathan; Great grandchildren, Lauren, Will, Brady, Tori.

Services: 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Weber Funeral Home, 1619 Hamilton St., Allentown, PA. Viewing: 9:30-10:45 AM, Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Memorial Park following the services. (www.weberfuneralhomes.com)
