Florence A. Hersh, 101, of Allentown, died on September 3, 2006 at the Phoebe Home Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Allentown. Born September 14, 1904 she was a daughter of the late John Adam Bechtel and Mary (Hartman) Bechtel. Florence worked for Rodale Press, Dun & Bradstreet and finally ETNA Insurance were she retired in 1993. Florence was married to Clarence W. Hersh for 34 years. They had two sons Joseph J. and Charles F. Hersh. She was a member of the Liberty Bell Chapter for the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church, Allentown.
Survivors: Grandchildren, Deborah (Hersh) Ferrara, Frederick C. Hersh, Matthew C. Hersh, Joseph J. Hersh, Jr., and James T. Hersh. Florence was preceded in death by her husband Clarence, her sons Joseph and Charles and her sisters, Marie-Esther, Ruth, Martha, Bertha, Laura and Marian.
