Jane F. Schroeder
Jane F. Schroeder, of Coopersburg passed away on Monday, October 19, 2009, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, surrounded by loved ones. Born in the Kensington section of Philadelphia on January 13, 1927, she was the daughter of Harry and Florence Davidson. Jane was married to Ben Schroeder for 43 years, before he died in 1989. She was a timekeeper for Sears-Roebuck for 32 years, and was a graduate of Kensington High. Jane moved to Coopersburg in 1989 and remained active in many organizations. She was a Past Matron of Covenant Chapter OES, Past Mother Advisor of Rainbow Girls, Auxiliary member of Upper Saucon Ambulance Corps, Treasurer of Upper Senior Citizens, and a Life Member of Upper Saucon Social Quarters. She would have been a 50 year Eastern Star member in March. A huge Phillies and Eagles fan, Jane was well-known for her baking and craft skills. She was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church.
Survivors: Janes life will continue through her daughter, Linda Schroeder, and her cherished granddaughters, Natalie and Margie McGill. Mom-Mom will be missed by many of their friends. She will be sadly missed by her sister-in-law Doris McMahon and nieces Marilyn and Denise of N.J. and Jim, Kim and Wendy (Davidson) in Fla., as well as many other nieces, nephews and cousins. Janes extended family includes Kenny and Timmy Young and their families. Jane was predeceased by her brother, Jim Davidson.
Services: will be held on Saturday, October 24, at 12 noon in the church, Emmaus Ave and 9th Street, Allentown, with viewing from 10-11:30 a.m. Eastern Star Memorial Service to be held at 11:30. Burial to be held at Sunset Memorial Park, Philadelphia, at convenience of family.
