Ernest E. Charles, 63 of Whitehall, passed away on June 3 at Sacred Heart Hospital. He was born in Fogelsville to the late Albert Charlie Sr. and Minnie (Haddad). Ernest graduated from William Allen High School in 1960 and attended Allentown Business School. He was a big man with a big heart, kind and caring always putting others first and always helping people in need. Ernest had been married for the past 44 years to his loving wife Patricia (Huth) who will miss his smile and laughter. Ernest enjoyed playing cards with his brother, brother in law, and nephew. He had worked for Peter Dennis Tobacco Co for 20 Years in Phillipsburg, NJ until he opened Ernie's Wholesale on Washington St. in Allentown in 1980 till this past October. He was also a member of St. Georges Antiochian Orthodox Church and the Whitehall JayCee's. Survivors: Wife Patricia of Whitehall, Sons: George and wife Connie of Whitehall and Anies E. Jr. of San Francisco, Ca. Daughter Jenelle and husband Vincent Olsovsky of Whitehall. Brother: Albert and wife Gail Charlie Jr. of Allentown Sisters: Sophie and husband Albert Cunningham of Whitehall, Sarah Nader of Allentown, and Mary Jane and husband Joseph Koury of Allentown. Ernest loved his 4 grandchildren Christopher, Jessica, Carly, and Devon. Services: Visitation from 9- 11am on Wednesday June 7 to be followed by a service at 11am at St. Georges Antiachian Orthodox Church in Allentown.
