Elsie T. Wasser, 95, passed away February 25 at Phoebe Home. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Anton and Agnes (Bummer) Haber. Elsie was a member of the Jerusalem Western Salisbury United Church of Christ. She was the widow of Louis W. Wasser who was the former Lehigh County Controller who passed in 1991.
Survivors: Son, Louis A. husband of Shirley of Reading; daughters, Ruth wife of Leslie Barber, Mary Lou Auman, Ann wife of David Hohe all of Allentown, sons-in-law Rev. Richard Merrick of Powell, OH and Rev. Fred Knieriem of Allentown; 15 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; sister, Bernadine Haber of NJ, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by daughters Dolores Knieriem and Sarah Ann Merrick. Services: 11:30am, Thursday, March 2, 2006 Phoebe Home's Moyer Hall 1925 Turner St, Allentown. With burial following at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation: 10:30am Thursday, until time of service in Moyer Hall.
