Elsie Zodel, 99, passed away in her home on February 11, 2014. Born in Allentown on March 20, 1914, she was a daughter of the late George and Theresa (Wiesner) Hoanzl. Elsie was the loving wife of the late William Zodel who died in 1970. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Allentown. Elsie was a loving Mother and Grandmother and enjoyed being a homemaker.

Survivors: Daughter, Carol Swick; Son, Kenneth Zodel; Grandchildren, Sheila, wife of Steve Floyd, Vicky Zodel and Gary Fye, Eric and Mary Kate Zodel, Adrianne Slough, and Kimberly Henry; Great Grandchildren, Adrianne, Kris, Dakota, April, Cassie, Jackie, Kayla, and Ian; many other relatives and friends. Elsie was predeceased by two sisters, Helen and Ella, and four brothers, George, Robert, Walter, and Edward.

Services: Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014 at 11 am at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 201 E Juniata St., Allentown. A reception in the church hall will follow.
