Beloved daughter and sister Ellen F. Mathews, of Center Valley, passed away on May 3 of natural causes. She was the 3rd of 10 children born to Lenore M. and the late S. Hunt Mathews. To many parents and children at St. Michael's School in Colesville, she will be remembered as the "cookie lady", due to her many years as a volunteer lunch mother. She also volunteered with Schnecksville Fire Co. at their bingo. She was taken care of at St. Lukes Hospice Center, and was surrounded by her family and friends the last days of her life. At the time of her passing she was with her brother Mark. Ellen was predeceased by her Father, and Brothers James and David. Survivors: Mother Lenore M. of Center Valley, Sisters: Kathy and Susan Mathews of Whitehall, Annette Gilley and Maureen Pushkar of Allentown, and Lisa Mathews of Bethlehem. Brothers: Mark, and Alan Mathews of Center Valley. She was an Aunt to 9 children and Great Aunt to 3 children. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Wednesday May 7 at Assumption BVM Catholic Church in Colesville. Arrangements by Norcross-Weber Funeral Home, Coopersburg.
