Elaine Lillian (Herber) Niedermeyer of Allentown, PA. passed away peacefully on Sept. 11, 2016.
She was born on Oct. 18, 1933, the daughter of the late Robert and Hilda Herber of New Tripoli. She
was preceded in death by her husband and one true love of 47 years, John H. Niedermeyer, two brothers
Willard and Donald Herber and sister, Arlene (Herber) Schramel.
Elaine graduated Slatington H.S. in 1951. She worked at Air Products and then spent the rest of her career at
Hess's and The Bon Ton stores, retiring after 45 years.
She is survived by two daughters, Lisa (Niedermeyer) Sturgis and husband Chris of Olathe, KS, and Debra Niedermeyer of Nazareth, a son John Niedermeyer and wife Sally of Catasaqua, 8 beautiful grandchildren and 3 sisters, Betty (Herber) Mertz of Kutztown, Jean (Herber) Laub of Whitehall and LaRue (Herber) Weiss of New Tripoli.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Allentown. She was a loving wife, wonderful mother and Nana and her smile and caring for others will be missed dearly. She has finally joined Jack and they can forever enjoy their Polka dancing.
Her family would like to thank the care givers at Arden Courts of Old Orchard in Easton, PA and Aseracare Hospice of Allentown for their loving care for making mom feel comfortable and loved.

SERVICES: A mass of Christian burial will be held 11:30 am, Friday, September 23, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Church, 501 Ridge Ave., Allentown. A viewing will be held Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 6-9 pm and Friday September 23, 2016 from 9-11 am both at Weber Funeral Home, 502 Ridge Ave., Allentown. WWW.WEBERFUNERALHOMES.COM
