Edward E. Hursh, 91, of Allentown passed away on October 17th, 2015. He was born January 7th, 1924 to the late Luther and Grace (Elliott) Hursh in White Deer, PA. Edward was married for 69 loving years as of April 26th to Lois (McKee) Hursh. For over 20 years Edward worked as a Machine Shop Foreman at Air Products. In his free time he loved hunting and golfing (which he was quite good at). Edward also spent time enjoying baseball games, especially the Phillies and Iron Pigs. Above all he loved all the time that was spent with his family. In addition to his hobbies Edward was also a proud Army veteran, having served his country in the European Theater of the Second World War. During his service Edward was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.
Edward was preceded in death by his sisters Lena and Thelma of Lewisburg, PA.
In addition to his wife Edward is survived by his daughter, Marlene Beaver and husband David of Allentown; one son Brian Hursh and wife Shawn Marie of Coopersburg; 3 grandchildren, Seth Beaver and wife Emily, Abigail and Alyssa Hursh. Edward is also survived by his sister Carmen of Lewisburg, PA.
There will be a graveside service held at 11am on Wednesday, October 21st, 2015 at Woodlawn Memorial Park 1500 Airport Rd, Allentown PA.
