Edith V. Smith
Edith V. Smith, 91, of Reading passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the Mifflin Health Center, Shillington, PA. Born in West Reading on July 1, 1920; she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Minnie (Bechtel) Miller. She was the wife of the late Melvin S. Smith. She retired from Lucent Technology. She was predeceased by three sisters, Florence Zechman, Dorothy Yocum, and Marion Evans, and three brothers, George, Russell and Paul Miller.
Survivors: Daughter, Jean D. Norris; Sister, Ruth Heller; brother, Richard Miller; eight grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
Services: To be held privately at the convenience of the family.
Contributions: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Caring Hospice Services, 400 Commerce drive, Suite C, Ft. Washington, PA 19034
