Edgar R. "Chuck" Chakmakian, 77, of Catasauqua, passed away Oct. 18 at St. Luke's Hospital in Fountain Hill. Born in Brooklyn he was a son of the late Edmond and Kalema Chakmakian. Edgar served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He worked as a mailman for the US Postal Service in Allentown from 1972 until his retirement in 1990. He was the husband of Dolores (Yatckoske) for the past 53 yrs. Edgar was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Allentown. Survivors: Wife Dolores in Lehighton; son, David M. and his wife Kathy in N.C.; daughter, Diana wife of Troy George in Lehighton; three grandchildren; one great grandson. He was predeceased by brothers, John, Albert, and Victor. Services: Tuesday 11:30am at Weber Funeral Home, 1619 W. Hamilton St. Allentown. Please call from 10:30am till time of service.
