Eddie Lee Benson, age 76, of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, passed April 3rd, 2025. He was born in Madison, West Virginia to parents James B. Benson and Cornelious Jackson. Eddie graduated class of 1968 from Dieruff High School, where he played basketball. Eddie worked for Allentown State Hospital as a janitor and on the assembly line for General Electric.

Eddie was a lifelong sports fan. In addition to basketball in high school, he also played baseball with the boys club, and he always made time to follow the Eagles, Phillies, and 76ers. When he wasn't watching sports, he was watching westerns, Gilligan's Island, and black and white films, or he was listening to the oldies.

Eddie is survived by her daughters Courtney Benson and Tierrany Benson; grandchildren Payton Benson, Brayden Stephan, and Tierrany's daughter; siblings Freddie (Kathy) Benson, Louis Benson, and Sabrina Benson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Eddie is predeceased by his sister Debbie Benson Wright.

Services for Eddie are under the care of Weber Funeral Home 502 Ridge Ave, Allentown, PA 18102 (610) 434-9349. A viewing will be held Friday, April 11th, 2025 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., with the funeral service to follow at 3 p.m.
